Description

The hills of Gaston overlook the rolling plains and rich farmlands of northern Dwilight. The mighty palace of Gaston, built of sandstone blocks rivals the monuments of even the greatest cities. Some Gastonites claim that the great palace of Golden Farrow is an exact copy of the palace of Gaston, however in Golden Farrow people often claim it is Gaston's palace that is the copy.

In the days of old Gaston was a trade hub between the great cities of the north. Merchants traveling the great road between Darfix and Gelene could not help but pass through the cities gates.

After suffering through years of anarchy Gaston has spent the last few years under the protection of Astrum and the exiles of Niselur. This has allowed it to grow into a bustling urban center. It stands now as the capital of Iashalur

Gaston has a small shrine of Sanguis Astroism to accommodate its worshipers. The religion was introduced by the Niselurians and the temple was constructed as a free gift by then Preist Aram Stein. During over a year of anarchy a small band of loyal peasants protected and repaired the small temple awaiting the return of the exiled nobles.

In addition to new fortifications, smiths, workshops and recruitment centers Gaston has a small zoo. Built at the request of Duke Turin Erickson to increase tourism the main exhibit features a wild Unicorn. The deadly creature was captured along with other members of its herd during a battle in distant Ammando. Peasants, Adventurers and even nobles travel from far and wide to see the mighty beast.
