Xerus

Description

Xerus is located on the western side of Vozzessdor and the great Lake Salaman. The peasants of Xerus trade their manufactured goods and trinkets with Vozzessdor and Wudenkin predominantly. Traders from Wudenkin visit the towns of Xerus once every week and trade what they have brought from the great city for goods from Vozzessdor.

The name 'Xerus' originated from a small town named 'Serrus' which was located in the center of Xerus. Even though the settlement of Serrus was destroyed during constant looting from Sint in ancient history, the people of the land remember this by the name of the region.

In old legend, Xerus is also known as the land of mist and spiders, for it is the perfect location for them by the upper course of the river. Therefore, Xerus is known throughout Beluaterra for its famous scouts that try to emulate the stalking skills of the overgrown arachnids.

In more recent times the township has successfully begun to grow again in the aftermath of Daimon Invasions and the collapse of Bara’Khur, and has become an important defensive trade center both across the Southern Bridge, or across Lake Salaman.
