Tindle

Description

Tindle is a land of sturdy fortified villages, each with its own central manor house. The manor house serves as the center of administration and justice for it's village and the surrounding estate. The largest manors are the estates of the region lord and his knights, whilst smaller manors are held by elected aldermen; commoners by birth but usually capable leaders. The land is a flat, fertile plain ideal for farming, with a long sea coast to the east. These farmlands produce good harvests which form the major part of the economy, supplemented by sea fishing and all sorts of light manufacturing. The region is a natural route for travelers heading north or south who want to skirt the central mountain chain of Beluaterra. So travelers from all four of the east central cities of Beluaterra meet in Tindle to rest, trade, gossip and spy; making it a much more cosmopolitan place than many rural regions.

Tindle lies under the protection of Dyomoque city to the northwest and the Ippetimbal Mountains to the north. As long as the fortifications of these two regions are defended, then Tindle has some protection. Of course no place in Beluaterra is completely secure. Periodically the land falls prey to human armies as well as the otherworldly daimons or ravaging hordes of trolls or undead, but the people of Tindle are a proud, hard working, independent folk who have repeatedly managed to defend their homeland with their blood, steel and spirit.
