Region Details

Description

Orde is located on the Jedinchel Plateau in the northern part of Beluaterra. The Plateau starts from the Jedinchel Mountains in the South, encompasses Orde, carries on to The city of Ungar in the northwest and the townsland of Lastfell in the northeast, eventually dipping of to the forest of Wailing Wood further north. Orde is bounded to the east by the Great Northern River (Golden River). This runs north and then east to the Bay of Souls, eventually emptying into the Gulf of Agyr. The terrain is characterized by Northern Tundra with hills more common towards the south of the region while the center and north are flat and good for farming.

Orde lies on a major trade route through the Jedinchel Mountains, linking the city of Unger & townsland of Lastfell to the north, with the City of Fronepu and the rural regions around the Great Central Lake (Lake Salaman) to the south. The people of Orde get their basic income from fishing and farming, but also rely heavily on the trade generated by this route. They are a diverse group of people, a mix of northerners, mountain men, and traders. They are rugged individualists, and expect the Lord of Orde to keep law and order and hold taxes down to a reasonable level.

The Sharpe Vineyard is here. The famous Red Langor is produced here; it is the favored drink that came from Atamara from those who fled the sinking. Some local villages participate the process, bringing much needed funds to those villages. Barrel Makers, Wine Merchants, and even Grape Pickers all enjoy the benefits of Red Langor.
