Toren Stronghold

Description

Toren Stronghold has stood the test of time, changing hands often but never falling. Located on the northern edge of the Central Massif mountain range, the Stronghold is surrounded by war-torn land. Within the various layers of fortification lie the tombs of many Heroic figures from the annals of history, and the varied styles of many different incarnations of all three combatant states are represented thusly.

The eastern forest provides cover and resources to those within, while the Lesthian foothills keep unwanted visitors at bay. To the south is the Cave of Guilt, which legend holds is haunted by the ghosts of Toren's past owners and the nightmarish creatures that parents use to scare their children. And to the north lies the lake of Kail, offering a seemingly endless array of fish and other aquatic life.

Estates

Surrounded by small hills that naturally lend to defense, Toren Keep's walls are the first line of defense against would-be attackers. Huge and imposing, they serve as a deterrent for all but the bravest or most desperate. Within the walls is a small village that has grown up around the Stronghold over time.

The Lesthian Foothills make up the western border of Toren Stronghold. These foothills are home to a vast array of plant and animal life. The people who live here are a hearty folk, used to defending themselves.

The mountain estate sits high up in the Central Massif mountain range, providing a clear view of the surrounding area. It has a surprisingly temperate climate, and many of the people are shepherds for the mountain goats that live there. The Estate also provides a natural place of refuge in times of need.
