Meuse

Description

Meuse is a heavily forested region located to the north of the mountains of Bursa and south of the Bescanon River. Stuck between these two obstacles, Meuse has long been an important travel route between the west and east of the continent. The dense network of roads running through the forest connect the various towns in the area, and also provide important travel networks for traders and armies alike.

The local economy relies largely on logging and associated industries. Timber from Meuse is sold widely around the continent for use in construction and shipbuilding, while locals also make use of wood to produce furniture which is renowned for its longevity and strength.

Hunting is the other main industry in the region. Rabbits are plentiful and widely hunted by locals for meat and fur, while deer and boar are hunted for their meat and prized trophies of antlers or tusks mostly by nobility who travel to Meuse from around the continent.
