Ar Mosul

Description

In a less traveled part of East continent lies a region which is glorious in all her beauty. The song birds thrive and fill the valley with the sound of music. Many travelers slow down when passing through the Mosul valley as the splendor of the wild berry bushes reward those who stop for a while. Blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, huckleberries, starberries, spoonberries, and the favorite of all - moonberries.

There is a long told tale of the Moonberries of Mosul. They can only be found during the three past prior and past the full moon. A week of harvest at night and nearly all are gone by the next week. The taste and texture of the berry cannot be explained. It goes well in desserts and dinners, breakfasts and snacks. It nourishes the soul and lightens the cheeks of the grey and dreary. Some say it is magic but others tell ever older tales of where this land originally came from and the Creator. The Moonberries of Mosul shall forever be a mystery.

The South of Ar Mosul sports the infamous "under-U" - the bend in the river which looks similar to an upside-down letter 'U' - which often has numerous deaths due to the daredevil boat races that are held quarterly per-year. The Under-U Boat Race can consist of any boat yet many choose one or two-man boats seeing at the Under-U has many jagged rocks, hidden undercurrents, and some dicey rapids. 

Of late the population of goats increased 50 fold. Goats roam most of the south hills of Ar Mosul seeking Moon Berries. There is always a shortage of milkmaids strong enough to handle the single Udder of the he goats. Ar Mosul produces some of the most heady spiked goat wine found in Perleone.
