Description

Woolton is a beautiful region with a large expanse of forest and a rich history. The locals have grown industrious, a far cry from their ancestors who once revered nature above all, but one can still understand why. Of particular pride is the vista of Woolton's forests, which stand to make travel easier on anyone passing through them. Much sparser than the dense woodlands of Ar Aquabah, they offer fewer options for bandits and vagabonds trying to escape the law and mean hunting is both easier and scenic. Indeed, a lot of wood, furs, and meat come from Woolton forests.

In the summer, the Sun's rays shine through the treeline and give off a fantastical air, framing the breaks in the branches and what little clouds there are in gold. Its eastern hillsides, where the newly built Castle Orneix rests, give way to the flats in the south as one approaches the Great Southern Sea, and with them, one enters the Prenúncio Pavillion and Veracra Mansion - the center of agriculture and industry, and the center of hunting and woodwork respectively.

Woolton has been a tactical location for many wars since its rich forests can provide an abundance of supplies and give shelter and seclusion.  The "Grandbell Forest" still stands proud despite a recent uptick in industry in the region. Woolton may have once been a sedentary forest community, but the mills have picked up, and with it, other industries as well.

The mining in the region is poor, but some deposits of saltpeter were discovered in the year 1018, leading to construction and implementation of hand cannons into the local garrison. Every third Wednesday of the month, the men drill with these devices, and their roar can be heard for some distance.  Nails have also become a popular export, as the iron deposits in the region produce iron of too poor quality for much else.
