Region Details

Description

Flismar is a region where the population is divided by fishing villages near the coast mostly populated by humans and the ancient elven population living within the forest. The Elven population varies in outlook from very traditional clans and families who resents the way human culture have come to influence the way of elves and more modern thinking who have adapted to modern culture.

Of the traditionalists many elves train their bow skill and hire out as mercenaries to display the superiority of the old elven ways. Most of the elven nobility are modern thinkers.

Long ago when the world was less civilized than it is today the elves that then lived there were target to frequent raids from pirates. Using long lost techniques they raised a pallisade covering a lot of the coastline to protect themselves. This fortification is still standing but ironically it is now mostly used to protect the coastal villages from monster uprisings. It has become affectionately known as "the Great Wall of Flismar" by the local population.

The forests have many strange beasts living in them, the most common probably being the northern Forest Wyvern. It is a well sought hunting grounds and when foreign dignitaries are visiting Sirion they are often taken out hunting in the Forest of Flismar to hunt beasts that many thought were just legends before their visit.
