Elmbar

Description

The region of Elmbar has for long been a main supplier of food. Its farms are particularly fertile especially on the banks of the Sirion river in the south-west and one can find very large herds in the eastern part of the land.

Elmbar's imports of wood from Limbar and Flismar are vital to the production of boats for the communities of fishermen on the sea shore which are very numerous and prosper.

Its industry is striving, often surpassed by the artisans of Limbar since Elmbar does not benefit from the boon of the traderoutes coming from the south and leading to Sirion. Nonetheless, many villages on the main roads leading to Sirion bear wealthy ironsmiths and tanners due to the great needs of armors and weapons for Sirion. It can also easily impose tolls on wood merchants going to Avamar

It's people are a bit weary of soldiers and many still look at them with distrust; Elmbar has never seen a lot of friendly armies moving on its roads, but pillaging enemies used to sneak through the region from Avamar often laying ruin and waste.
