Description

Sitting in the southern half of the Omskian Swamp, Gadlock is the site of many great battles over the years. The people of Gadlock have a wide array of origins and culture, and not only because the region has changed hand several times in its history, but also because the marshy ground makes transport difficult between the dozens of villages and small towns.

One interesting thing that most people notice when they come to Gadlock is that many of the houses are built on stilts, keeping them above the damp ground. The largest town, from which the region draws its name, is almost entirely above ground, a series of interconnected platforms and bridges spanning the town. Twenty three miles to the east, where the vegetation is at its densest, exists a small hamlet of less than fifty people who have taken the lifestyle to a new level; they live in tree houses, with bridges made of branches and vines spanning the canopy.

Despite all of their peculiarities, one thing that most admire about the citizens of Gadlock is that they are fierce warriors. They have not only excellent training and discipline, but the manner in which they go into battle is often enough to strike fear into their enemy's heart. Dressed in the skins of a variety of fierce beasts, and wearing decorative jewelry made from teeth and bones, The very appearance of them can intimidate all but the bravest, most disciplined, or perhaps foolish soldiers.
