Marinen

Description

Marinen, the city which errupted from the sea! Marinen is the youngest city on the continent, emerging following the Great Catsclysm of 1020. The citizens of Marinen were the first to greet Tidemaster Daizen Tideweaver, after being lost at Sea. They greeted him on the black sand beaches which cover their coastline. Immigrants, all of them, Marinen is a blend of cultures.

Deep sea fishing is a staple industry, as is forging the lightweight, silvery metal found in the volcano. Under the guidance of their first Lord, Octavian Schwarzherzig, the city has been built in a triangular pattern, with one edge along the sea, for ease of defense. This limits attackers to two directions of attack. Marineners take great pride of arms, the expeditionary spirit deep in their veins. They practice with winged spears and nets, as well as savage, heavy cutlasses.
