Fujiwara-no-Harumi is the current head of the Oshu branch of the Fujiwara family, a self-exiled clan of the Yamatai Empire from far across the world ocean. Chagrined by her family's descent into relative obscurity, Harumi has resolved to rebuild the Fujiwara name and re-establish its legacy - in whatever form that may take.
The Yamatai highborn pride themselves in both the arts of war and of governance. Harumi is no exception, having endured an upbringing that included a thorough exposure to literature, philosophy, and mathematics. As befits the bushi traditions of her people, when the drums of war are sounded Harumi is compelled by her honour to take to the field with bow and blade.
