Recently, I made a change that accidentally stopped the game from reliably recording your characters' individual last login times. That caused some characters to get inactivity warnings and even lose positions; I apologize for these issues. I have fixed the underlying bug, and your characters will now be properly marked as played when you click through to them.

Starting this coming Sunday, I'll be on vacation for 2 weeks—the first time I've been away for an extended period since I became the only admin. I'm doing my best to ensure that the game is as stable as possible before I go, but if bugs do come up, please be patient, report them to the Bugtracker (checking first to see if someone else has already reported), and I will fix them when I return.

Major Changes

• Under the hood, upgraded the version of Symfony from 5.2 to 6.4
• Replaced the CKEditor rich text editor with the fully-permissively-licensed Jodit
• • This changes some things about how the message editor and other rich-text-enabled text boxes behave; constructive feedback is welcome, and bugs are expected in the transition

Bugfixes

• The Hierarchy page will no longer skip lordless regions when the duchy is also dukeless
• The intermittent DataTables error boxes should now be gone

Update: Despite some detours, the Wiki and Forum are now upgraded to the latest versions!

With apologies for the 1-day delay, I am beginning maintenance on the Wiki and Forum. This should take no more than a couple of hours if all goes well. I will update this news post when the maintenance is finished.

Later this week (currently aiming for Wednesday morning), I will be temporarily taking the Wiki and Forum down for maintenance. I will be upgrading each of them to the newest version that all our extensions support. Once that is done, if all goes well, I will be upgrading the version of PHP that the live server is running on from 7.4 to 8.2. This should not have any immediate effects (besides changing the forum theme—the old one is no longer supported), but will pave the way for more improvements to the game and its ancillary sites in the near future.
Please note that while I am updating the forum to the current version, I will eventually be putting it into a read-only state when development time allows. We will continue to support the forum as a reference-only site for the foreseeable future.
